Location & Directions

Tranquille Vienne Gîtes is located in Peyras, a small rural hamlet in the commune of Chirac, in Charente (Department 16), southwest France.
We’re surrounded by countryside, but still close to villages, towns, and main road links, making the gîtes easy to reach without feeling remote.

Getting Here – Distances by Car

Approximate driving distances to Peyras, Chirac:

• Confolens – 12 km

• Saint-Junien – 22 km

• Limoges – 53 km

• Limoges Bellegarde Airport – 46 km

• Angoulême – 61 km (around 50 minutes)

• Poitiers – 88 km (around 1 hour 30 minutes)

• Bergerac – 146 km (around 2 hours 25 minutes)

• Bordeaux – 175 km (around 2 hours 15 minutes)

• Paris – 439 km (around 4 hours 30 minutes)

Directions from Limoges

From Limoges, take the N141 (E603) towards Angoulême.

Follow the N141 until the ring road ends, then take the second exit signposted Exideuil.
(The newer ring road means you don’t need to drive through Chabanais, but if you do exit there, simply drive through the town and take the Exideuil exit at the roundabout.)

Drive straight through Exideuil. When you see the pharmacy on your left and a bar/restaurant opposite, turn right at the post office.

Cross the long bridge and follow signs for Chirac.
You’ll pass a junction on the left signed Chirac — ignore this and stay on the main road (there’s a newly built house on the corner).

We’re located on the left-hand side of the road at number 8.
If you reach a crossroads, you’ve gone just a little too far.

Directions from Confolens

From Confolens, leave town following signs for Chabanais / Limoges.

You’ll pass Lidl, then the Gendarmerie. Shortly after, turn right towards Chirac and continue until you reach a crossroads. Go straight ahead to enter Chirac.

From the church in Chirac, bear left in the direction of Chabanais.
Near the school, follow signs for Chabanais and continue uphill to the top of the hill. At the crossroads, turn right towards Exideuil.

You’ll enter the hamlet of Peyras shortly after.
We’re about 200 metres along on the right-hand side.

One honest tip

Most guests use Google Maps or Waze without any issues.
