All three of our gîtes are located together in Peyras, a small hamlet in the commune of Chirac, in the Charente. From Tranquille Vienne Gîtes, you can easily explore nearby villages, shops, restaurants, recreational lakes and many places of interest.

A small village with a church and a local bar/restaurant.

Exideuil-sur-Vienne – approx. 2 km
At the bottom of the hill, Exideuil-sur-Vienne has a bakery, pharmacy, post office and small shop. The River Vienne runs through the village and kayaking and canoeing are also available here.

Chabanais – approx. 5 km
Here you will find the nearest large supermarket (Super U), as well as shops, ATMs, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Confolens – approx. 15 km
A historic town on the River Vienne, perfect for a stroll through the centre, stopping at a café or enjoying a meal at one of its restaurants.

Saint-Junien – approx. 20 minutes by car
A larger town with a wider choice of shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and other services.
